About Jon Stork
Hailing from Beasley on the Gulf Coast, Jon Stork blends honky-tonk grit with Southern rock and soulful storytelling. His sound was born on the backroads and built for the stage, drawing directly from life’s highs, lows, and everything in between. Influenced by church gospel, 90s country legends like Garth Brooks and Travis Tritt, Texas favorites such as Robert Earl Keen and Pat Green, and classic rock icons like Tom Petty and Bob Seger, Stork creates music that feels both fresh and deeply rooted in tradition.
A product of a musical family (his older brother performed in the band Letters for June), Jon picked up the guitar young and began writing and performing while attending college in College Station. After years of traveling the country and working multiple jobs, he returned to the Houston area and made the full-time commitment to music.
His debut EP "In Your Radio" (2017) quickly hit the top 10 on the iTunes country chart. His first full-length album, "Radio Cowboy" (2019), delivered multiple #1 and top-charting singles on Texas radio, including “Facts and Lies,” the title track “Radio Cowboy,” and “Another Town.”
Those breakout tracks continue to dominate his Spotify streams today. “Facts and Lies” leads the way as his most-played song (nearly 770k streams), followed closely by “Another Town,” “Radio Cowboy,” “If You Can Dance,” “Blood,” “Fast Horse,” and “Rodeo Blues.” With roughly 7,000 monthly listeners and hundreds of thousands of plays across his catalog, these fan favorites have become Texas country radio and playlist staples.
Subsequent releases like the "Fast Horse" EP and newer singles such as “Cowboy” (2025) have kept the momentum going, growing his dedicated fanbase through unforgettable live shows. With new music on the horizon, Jon Stork continues to charge ahead with passion, purpose, and the belief that the best stories are meant to be sung.
