About Scotty Alexander
Scotty Alexander is a Texas original — a child prodigy turned road warrior whose soulful voice, masterful multi-instrumentalism, and authentic storytelling place him among the most respected names in traditional Texas country music.
Born with music in his blood, Scotty released his first vinyl record, "Here I Come World," at the remarkable age of 6. By his teenage years, he was already performing in Texas nightclubs and fairs, sharing the stage with legends like Mickey Gilley at the original Gilley’s in Pasadena. That early fire led to a remarkable career that spans more than 10,000 live shows and countless unforgettable moments.
After honing his craft in Texas, Scotty took his talents to the national stage. He served as Music Director for Wayne Newton in Las Vegas (a role that became a mentorship he still cherishes), co-hosted the award-winning Country Tonight production, and later toured as a bandleader and musician for artists including Neal McCoy, Bryan White, and Lucy Hale. In Nashville, he worked as a studio musician and Pro Tools editor for stars like Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Darius Rucker, while contributing to major TV appearances on Ellen, Good Morning America, the Grand Ole Opry, and more.
In recent years, Scotty returned to his Texas roots in the Hill Country. He launched a solo career that quickly caught fire with fans hungry for real country music. His albums Guilty (2019) and Road We’re On (2021) delivered radio hits like “Cowboy’s Daughter,” “One More Reason,” and “Nothing Good Happens After Midnight,” earning him multiple Texas Country Music Awards nominations.
A world-class player on fiddle, guitar, banjo, bass, and more, Scotty delivers high-energy performances packed with heart, humor, and the unmistakable sound of Texas. Whether he’s tearing through a classic or sharing an original story-song, audiences leave every show feeling like they’ve experienced something genuine.
